Managing Stress in Relationship

Are you looking to deepen your connection with yourself and your partner? We will guide you in a safe environment to practice embodying key principles of:

Agenda: 

Guided movement: a practice of yoga and qigong to deepen your awareness and feel alive in your body. We’ll cover techniques to use in high stress scenarios to calm your system down.  

Breathwork meditation: practice techniques to regulate your nervous system, reduce stress, and increase your intuition. Based on SOMA breathwork techniques

Free-form movement: explore movement strategies to safely feel and express emotions. 

Relational & communication exercises: Together we’ll explore strategies to grow through conflicts in relationships. We’ll practice authentically expressing experiences, feelings, and needs to curate deeper understanding and connection in partnership. The techniques we’ll share are based on the principles taught in Empathic Communication, NVC, and others.

Join us for a journey of sound and movement to connect to your inner rhythm and ultimate freedom.  It is from this place we can discover who we truly are, spark creativity, and let our light shine.

This workshop will include an introduction to the world of Nada Yoga, the yoga of sound and transition into a dynamic vinyasa flow set to live music.  Be prepared to leave your yoga mat and dance!

We will end with a long shavasana and meditative sound bath leaving you feeling nourished, relaxed and connected to yourself.

GMB Intro to Locomotion at Pleasure Point Movement

Event Description

Tap into your primal nature and discover what you are capable of! In this workshop you will gain an understanding of GMB’s core principle of physical autonomy and dive into fundamental movements to help you build strength, flexibility, and motor control.

We will focus on 3 basic animal movements (bear, monkey, frogger) and their variations to help you discover different ways to move and control your body. Animal movements are a solid foundation to develop more strength for progressing to advanced bodyweight and gymnastic skills like handstands and pistol squats. Regardless of your goals, these movements will help you develop a better understanding of your body and are useful to supplement your movement practice.

The workshop covers simple assessment protocols you can use to get a better picture of what aspects of strength, flexibility, or control you specifically need to focus on. You’ll also get an idea of how you can apply the basics to creative exercises like movement flows and partner games.
